Identities in law between quadratic functionals of bivariate Gaussian processes, through Fubini theorems and symmetric projections

Giovanni PeccatiMarc Yor — 2006

Banach Center Publications

We present three new identities in law for quadratic functionals of conditioned bivariate Gaussian processes. In particular, our results provide a two-parameter generalization of a celebrated identity in law, involving the path variance of a Brownian bridge, due to Watson (1961). The proof is based on ideas from a recent note by J.-R. Pycke (2005) and on the stochastic Fubini theorem for general Gaussian measures proved in Deheuvels et al. (2004).

Hoeffding spaces and Specht modules

Giovanni PeccatiJean-Renaud Pycke — 2011

ESAIM: Probability and Statistics

It is proved that each Hoeffding space associated with a random permutation (or, equivalently, with extractions without replacement from a finite population) carries an irreducible representation of the symmetric group, equivalent to a two-block Specht module.

Multivariate normal approximation using Stein’s method and Malliavin calculus

Ivan NourdinGiovanni PeccatiAnthony Réveillac — 2010

Annales de l'I.H.P. Probabilités et statistiques

We combine Stein’s method with Malliavin calculus in order to obtain explicit bounds in the multidimensional normal approximation (in the Wasserstein distance) of functionals of gaussian fields. Among several examples, we provide an application to a functional version of the Breuer–Major CLT for fields subordinated to a fractional brownian motion.
