Special values of symmetric power L -functions and Hecke eigenvalues

Emmanuel RoyerJie Wu — 2007

Journal de Théorie des Nombres de Bordeaux

We compute the moments of L -functions of symmetric powers of modular forms at the edge of the critical strip, twisted by the central value of the L -functions of modular forms. We show that, in the case of even powers, it is equivalent to twist by the value at the edge of the critical strip of the symmetric square L -functions. We deduce information on the size of symmetric power L -functions at the edge of the critical strip in subfamilies. In a second part, we study the distribution of small and...

Improved interval DEA models with common weight

Jiasen SunYajun MiaoJie WuLianbiao CuiRunyang Zhong — 2014

Kybernetika

The traditional data envelopment analysis (DEA) model can evaluate the relative efficiencies of a set of decision making units (DMUs) with exact values. But it cannot handle imprecise data. Imprecise data, for example, can be expressed in the form of the interval data or mixtures of interval data and exact data. In order to solve this problem, this study proposes three new interval DEA models from different points of view. Two examples are presented to illustrate and validate these models.

Finite-time adaptive outer synchronization between two complex dynamical networks with nonidentical topological structures

Jie WuYong-zheng SunDong-hua Zhao — 2015

Kybernetika

In this paper, we investigate the finite-time adaptive outer synchronization between two complex dynamical networks with nonidentical topological structures. We propose new adaptive controllers, with which we can synchronize two complex dynamical networks within finite time. Sufficient conditions for the finite-time adaptive outer synchronization are derived based on the finite-time stability theory. Finally, numerical examples are examined to demonstrate the effectiveness and feasibility of the...

Inverse optimal control for linearizable nonlinear systems with input delays

Xiushan CaiJie WuXisheng ZhanXianhe Zhang — 2019

Kybernetika

We consider inverse optimal control for linearizable nonlinear systems with input delays based on predictor control. Under a continuously reversible change of variable, a nonlinear system is transferred to a linear system. A predictor control law is designed such that the closed-loop system is asymptotically stable. We show that the basic predictor control is inverse optimal with respect to a differential game. A mechanical system is provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method....

Finite-time synchronization of chaotic systems with noise perturbation

Jie WuZhi-cai MaYong-zheng SunFeng Liu — 2015

Kybernetika

In this paper, we investigate the finite-time stochastic synchronization problem of two chaotic systems with noise perturbation. We propose new adaptive controllers, with which we can synchronize two chaotic systems in finite time. Sufficient conditions for the finite-time stochastic synchronization are derived based on the finite-time stability theory of stochastic differential equations. Finally, some numerical examples are examined to demonstrate the effectiveness and feasibility of the theoretical...

Evaluation of decision-making units based on the weight-optimized DEA model

Jiasen SunRui YangXiang JiJie Wu — 2017

Kybernetika

Data envelopment analysis (DEA) is a methodology for measuring best relative efficiencies of a group of peer decision-making units (DMUs) that take multiple inputs to produce multiple outputs. However, the traditional DEA model only aims to maximize the efficiency of the DMU under evaluation. This usually leads to very small weights (even zero weights) being assigned to some inputs or outputs. Correspondingly, these inputs or outputs have little or even no contribution to efficiency, which is unfair...

Adaptive finite-time generalized outer synchronization between two different dimensional chaotic systems with noise perturbation

Zhi-cai MaJie WuYong-zheng Sun — 2017

Kybernetika

This paper is further concerned with the finite-time generalized outer synchronization between two different dimensional chaotic systems with noise perturbation via an adaptive controller. First of all, we introduce the definition of finite-time generalized outer synchronization between two different dimensional chaotic systems. Then, employing the finite-time stability theory, we design an adaptive feedback controller to realize the generalized outer synchronization between two different dimensional...

OD-characterization of almost simple groups related to L 2 ( 49 )

Liang Cai ZhangWu Jie Shi — 2008

Archivum Mathematicum

In the present paper, we classify groups with the same order and degree pattern as an almost simple group related to the projective special linear simple group L 2 ( 49 ) . As a consequence of this result we can give a positive answer to a conjecture of W. J. Shi and J. X. Bi, for all almost simple groups related to L 2 ( 49 ) except L 2 ( 49 ) · 2 2 . Also, we prove that if M is an almost simple group related to L 2 ( 49 ) except L 2 ( 49 ) · 2 2 and G is a finite group such that | G | = | M | and Γ ( G ) = Γ ( M ) , then G M .
