Compact homomorphisms between algebras of analytic functions

Richard AronPablo GalindoMikael Lindström — 1997

Studia Mathematica

We prove that every weakly compact multiplicative linear continuous map from H ( D ) into H ( D ) is compact. We also give an example which shows that this is not generally true for uniform algebras. Finally, we characterize the spectra of compact composition operators acting on the uniform algebra H ( B E ) , where B E is the open unit ball of an infinite-dimensional Banach space E.

Integral holomorphic functions

Verónica DimantPablo GalindoManuel MaestreIgnacio Zalduendo — 2004

Studia Mathematica

We define the class of integral holomorphic functions over Banach spaces; these are functions admitting an integral representation akin to the Cauchy integral formula, and are related to integral polynomials. After studying various properties of these functions, Banach and Fréchet spaces of integral holomorphic functions are defined, and several aspects investigated: duality, Taylor series approximation, biduality and reflexivity.
