Extension of semiclean rings

Chahrazade Bakkari, Mohamed Es-Saidi, Najib Mahdou, Moutu Abdou Salam Moutui (2022)

Czechoslovak Mathematical Journal

This paper aims at the study of the notions of periodic, UU and semiclean properties in various context of commutative rings such as trivial ring extensions, amalgamations and pullbacks. The results obtained provide new original classes of rings subject to various ring theoretic properties.

Flatness testing over singular bases

Janusz Adamus, Hadi Seyedinejad (2013)

Annales Polonici Mathematici

We show that non-flatness of a morphism φ:X→ Y of complex-analytic spaces with a locally irreducible target of dimension n manifests in the existence of vertical components in the n-fold fibred power of the pull-back of φ to the desingularization of Y. An algebraic analogue follows: Let R be a locally (analytically) irreducible finite type ℂ-algebra and an integral domain of Krull dimension n, and let S be a regular n-dimensional algebra of finite type over R (but not necessarily a finite R-module),...

Graded morphisms of G -modules

Hanspeter Kraft, Claudio Procesi (1987)

Annales de l'institut Fourier

Let A be finite dimensional C -algebra which is a complete intersection, i.e. A = C [ X 1 , ... , X n ] / ( f 1 , ... , f n ) whith a regular sequences f 1 , ... , f n . Steve Halperin conjectured that the connected component of the automorphism group of such an algebra A is solvable. We prove this in case A is in addition graded and generated by elements of degree 1.

Iterative differentiations in rings of unequal characteristic

Marilena Crupi, Gaetana Restuccia (2001)

Bollettino dell'Unione Matematica Italiana

Sia R un anello di caratteristica diseguale. Si stabiliscono formule generali per gli endomorfismi di una differenziazione F a o F c -iterativa di R , con c non zerodivisore di R. Tali formule sono note nel caso della caratteristica eguale.

Linear transforms supporting circular convolution over a commutative ring with identity

Mohamed Mounir Nessibi (1995)

Commentationes Mathematicae Universitatis Carolinae

We consider a commutative ring R with identity and a positive integer N . We characterize all the 3-tuples ( L 1 , L 2 , L 3 ) of linear transforms over R N , having the “circular convolution” property, i.eṡuch that x * y = L 3 ( L 1 ( x ) L 2 ( y ) ) for all x , y R N .

Notes on generalizations of Bézout rings

Haitham El Alaoui, Hakima Mouanis (2021)

Commentationes Mathematicae Universitatis Carolinae

In this paper, we give new characterizations of the P - 2 -Bézout property of trivial ring extensions. Also, we investigate the transfer of this property to homomorphic images and to finite direct products. Our results generate original examples which enrich the current literature with new examples of non- 2 -Bézout P - 2 -Bézout rings and examples of non- P -Bézout P - 2 -Bézout rings.
