On the Cauchy problem in a class of entire functions in several variables

Eugeni Leinartas (1996)

Banach Center Publications

We study the integral representation of solutions to the Cauchy problem for a differential equation with constant coefficients. The Cauchy data and the right-hand of the equation are given by entire functions on a complex hyperplane of n + 1 . The Borel transformation of power series and residue theory are used as the main methods of investigation.

Résidu de Grothendieck et forme de Chow.

Mohamed Elkadi (1994)

Publicacions Matemàtiques

We show an explicit relation between the Chow form and the Grothendieck residue; and we clarify the role that the residue can play in the intersection theory besides its role in the division problem.

Residue currents of the Bochner-Martinelli type.

Mikael Passare, August Tsikh, Alain Yger (2000)

Publicacions Matemàtiques

Our objective is to construct residue currents from Bochner-Martinelli type kernels; the computations hold in the non complete intersection case and provide a new and more direct approach of the residue of Coleff-Herrera in the complete intersection case; computations involve crucial relations with toroidal varieties and multivariate integrals of the Mellin-Barnes type.

Semi-simple Carrousels and the Monodromy

David B. Massey (2006)

Annales de l’institut Fourier

Let 𝒰 be an open neighborhood of the origin in n + 1 and let f : ( 𝒰 , 0 ) ( , 0 ) be complex analytic. Let z 0 be a generic linear form on n + 1 . If the relative polar curve Γ f , z 0 1 at the origin is irreducible and the intersection number ( Γ f , z 0 1 · V ( f ) ) 0 is prime, then there are severe restrictions on the possible degree n cohomology of the Milnor fiber at the origin. We also obtain some interesting, weaker, results when ( Γ f , z 0 1 · V ( f ) ) 0 is not prime.

The membership problem for polynomial ideals in terms of residue currents

Mats Andersson (2006)

Annales de l’institut Fourier

We find a relation between the vanishing of a globally defined residue current on n and solution of the membership problem with control of the polynomial degrees. Several classical results appear as special cases, such as Max Nöther’s theorem, for which we also obtain a generalization. Furthermore there are some connections to effective versions of the Nullstellensatz. We also provide explicit integral representations of the solutions.
