Parabolic differential-functional inequalities in viscosity sense

Krzysztof Topolski (1998)

Annales Polonici Mathematici

We consider viscosity solutions for second order differential-functional equations of parabolic type. Initial value and mixed problems are studied. Comparison theorems for subsolutions, supersolutions and solutions are considered.

Regularity for entropy solutions of a class of parabolic equations with irregular data

Fengquan Li (2007)

Commentationes Mathematicae Universitatis Carolinae

Using as a main tool the time-regularizing convolution operator introduced by R. Landes, we obtain regularity results for entropy solutions of a class of parabolic equations with irregular data. The results are obtained in a very general setting and include known previous results.

Walter Craig, Ana-Maria Matei (2003)

Universal zero solutions of linear partial differential operators

Thomas Kalmes, Markus Niess (2010)

Studia Mathematica

A generalized approach to several universality results is given by replacing holomorphic or harmonic functions by zero solutions of arbitrary linear partial differential operators. Instead of the approximation theorems of Runge and others, we use an approximation theorem of Hörmander.
