This paper is devoted to internal capacity characteristics of a domain D ⊂ ℂⁿ, relative to a point a ∈ D, which have their origin in the notion of the conformal radius of a simply connected plane domain relative to a point. On approximation by special analytic polyhedral pairs

For bounded logarithmically convex Reinhardt pairs "compact set - domain" (K,D) we solve positively the problem on simultaneous approximation of such a pair by a pair of special analytic polyhedra, generated by the same polynomial mapping f: D → ℂⁿ, n = dimΩ. On the multivariate transfinite diameter

We prove several new results on the multivariate transfinite diameter and its connection with pluripotential theory: a formula for the transfinite diameter of a general product set, a comparison theorem and a new expression involving Robin's functions. We also study the transfinite diameter of the pre-image under certain proper polynomial mappings.

The paper deals with logarithmic capacities, an important tool in pluripotential theory.
