Die Integralgleichungen ∫ 0 c y ( ζ ) ∑ n = 1 ∞ s i n ( n π x / a ) s i n ( n π ζ / a ) ( n π / a ) l d ζ = k o n s t . ∑ n = 1 , 3 ... ∞ s i n ( n π x / a ) ( n π / a ) k , 0 < x , ζ < c , l = 1 für k = 2 , 3 , 4 , l = 3 für k = 5 , wurden von den zitierten Autoren für verschiedene Probleme aus der Theorie der Elastizität zusammengestellt, welche man auf die Lösung der Durchbiegung der Platte mit gemischten Randbedingungen überführen kann. Die Arbeit führt den Entwurf des Beweises über die Existenz der Lösung dieser Gleichungen für c = a / 2 . Die Methode des Beweises beruht auf dem Orthogonalisierungsverfahren bekannter vollständiger Funktionensysteme.
