This paper demonstrates a possibility of solving a partial differential equation of elliptic type of the second order in a rectangular region. The arrangement of the points of the net is done so as to give the possibility of using the factorization method for solving the difference equations. The formulation of the difference equations, their solving has been programmed in ALGOL 60 at the end of the paper.
