Abstract

The first catalogue of tsunamis of the Italian coasts (Caputo, Faita 1984) is updated to include the information contained in the chronicles of natural phenomena recently found. Events which have not been reported in the previous catalogue are here listed with decimals, new information on events appearing in the previous catalogue are listed with the same number. Events in the Aegean sea which may have caused tsunamis on the Italian coast are also reported; they may be useful for further research.
