Abstract

In this paper we extend to Plasma Mechanics the study of the so-called “viscous rotations” introduced in Fluid Mechanics by Cisotti in 1924. The plasma is described by the magnetofluiddynamic equations, with and without the Hall effect. Velocity and magnetic fields (and, in correspondence, the pressure field) that make such motions possible are determined.
