According to the 1986 measurement of the height of K 2 peak by G. Wallerstein, the K 2 should be 11 m higher than the Everest. During the month of August 1987 the author organized an expedition directed to measuring the height of the two mountains with the same methods. The result of the measurements confirmed the superiority of about 250 m of the Everest respect the height of K2.
