Using Gliese's (1969) and Woolley's (1970) Catalogues, and applying criteria which are described in the present paper, the 𝐮 , 𝐯 and 𝐰 components of the Basic Solar Motion have been deduced, obtaining w ⊙ = + 6.5   , u ⊙ = + 10.6   , v ⊙ = + 12.4   , n a m e l y   V ⊙ = + 17.3 k m / s . The Apex coordinates are consequently l = 48°.6 and b = + 22°.2. The asymmetry of the v-components is tentatively accounted for. The V ⊙ does not fit with the average radial velocities of B-type stars in the direction of Apex and Antapex.
