Abstract

top
we are pleased to present you with volume 45 Mathematica Applicanda. The contents of this volume are several articles with interesting examples of mathematical modeling in different issues and using different methods. This diversity is probably the result of the efforts of the entire editorial team and to some extent reflects our research interests. Signals in the form of articles from outside Poland are extremely valuable. The fact that the portal of the magazine is visited by Internet users from various corners of the world can be observed using ClusterMaps.com. Only the submitted articles show authentic interest in the journal. This volume is the last one edited by the editorial team established in 2014. Each year was different from the others. We divide the volume into parts. This division was meant to help in the creation of thematic editions. This was not possible except for the special volume vol. 44 (1) edited by prof. F. Thomas Bruss from Brussels. The issue was devoted to the problems of stochastic optimization, mainly various optimal stopping problems. In the future, we want to improve this form, hoping that the unified subject matter of the articles in a separate part of the volume is able to fulfill more functions than just the transfer of research results.
