From the introduction: "We consider a model for the analysis of covariance with many concomitant variables in a system of individually split-plot design with correlated error effects. We consider two types of regression coefficients (for first- and second-order plots) of the principal variable in relation to the concomitant variables. We consider the random model (the effects of factors A and B are random variables) and mixed models (the effects of A or B are constant), and in each case the effects of replication are treated as random variables.''
