Some aspects of biology of the fresh water inhabiting nematode Chromadorina bioculata was studied. This species is very close, phylogenetically, to marine ones; this statement is discussed and zoogeographical observations are made. Sodium chlorine solutions at different osmotic pressures were tested in order to detect their fitness on survival of C. bioculata and comparisons were made with artificial sea water solutions (figs. 2-4). The thermal preferendum of the species was studied (fig. 5) and some ecological and evolutive conclusions are drawn.
