Stieltjes moment problem in general Gelfand-Shilov spaces

Alberto LastraJavier Sanz — 2009

Studia Mathematica

The Stieltjes moment problem is studied in the framework of general Gelfand-Shilov spaces, subspaces of the space of rapidly decreasing smooth complex functions, which are defined by imposing suitable bounds on their elements in terms of a given sequence M. Necessary and sufficient conditions on M are stated for the problem to have a solution, sometimes coming with linear continuous right inverses of the moment map, sending a function to the sequence of its moments. On the way, some results on the...

Quasi-analyticity in Carleman ultraholomorphic classes

Alberto LastraJavier Sanz — 2010

Annales de l’institut Fourier

We give a characterization for two different concepts of quasi-analyticity in Carleman ultraholomorphic classes of functions of several variables in polysectors. Also, working with strongly regular sequences, we establish generalizations of Watson’s Lemma under an additional condition related to the growth index of the sequence.

On q-asymptotics for q-difference-differential equations with Fuchsian and irregular singularities

Alberto LastraStéphane MalekJavier Sanz — 2012

Banach Center Publications

This work is devoted to the study of a Cauchy problem for a certain family of q-difference-differential equations having Fuchsian and irregular singularities. For given formal initial conditions, we first prove the existence of a unique formal power series X̂(t,z) solving the problem. Under appropriate conditions, q-Borel and q-Laplace techniques (firstly developed by J.-P. Ramis and C. Zhang) help us in order to construct actual holomorphic solutions of the Cauchy problem whose q-asymptotic expansion...
