Su un nuovo procedimento atto a determinare il profilo della sezione retta di un ghiacciaio.
In this paper the Author considers the motion of an asymmetric rigid body about a fixed point in a newtonian field of forces, in the only hypothesis that the centre of mass belongs to a principal axis of inertia relative to the fixed point. He gives new particular solutions of the equations of the motion in which the squares of the equatorial components p, q of the angular velocity are functions of second degree in the component r about the baricentral axis. The discovered solution depends on three...
We consider the motion about the center of mass of a solid body subjected to a newtonian field of forces and we seek those solutions of the Euler-Poisson equations, governing the motion, which make stationary the integral of the energy subordinate!y to the existence of the other known integrals. So we obtain a solution in which the cosine of the angle of mutation is furnished in function of the time by means of an elliptic integral. This solution contains four arbitrary constants and therefore it...
In this paper the author considers the entire, positive or negative, solutions of the equation , and establishes various formulas expressing the unknowns by means of two, three or four arbitrary parameters. The question has geometrical interest for the determination of the rational points of the cubic surface .
In this paper we complete a research effected in a Memoir of the Academy of Sciences of Turin and in a Note of the Venetian Institute in the year 1937, concerning the determination of all types of kinetic energy and potential of forces which make integrable by separation of variables the corresponding dynamical equation of Hamilton-Jacobi. We show that this equation is in effect soluble by separation of variables and we assign the corresponding complete integrals in the general case.
