In this paper, the method of least squares is applied to the fuzzy inference rules. We begin studying the conditions in which from a fuzzy set we can build another through the method of least squares. Then we apply this technique in order to evaluate the conclusions of the generalized modus ponens. We present different theorems and examples that demonstrate the fundamental advantages of the method studied.
We give suitable conditions for the existence of many holomorphic functions f on a disc such that the image of any nonempty open subset under the action of pseudo shift operators on f is arbitrarily large. This generalizes an earlier result about images of derivatives and completes another one on infinite order differential operators.
For a prime number l and for a finite Galois l-extension of function fields L / K over an algebraically closed field of characteristic p <> l, it is obtained the Galois module structure of the generalized Jacobian associated to L, l and the ramified prime divisors. In the cyclic case an implicit integral representation of the Jacobian is obtained and this representation is compared with the explicit representation.
