Segnalazione di una serie miocenica inferiore nel Monregalese (Bacino terziario piemontese)
In the southwestern part of the Tertiary Basin of Piedmont (near Mondovi-Cuneo), the presence of a thick sequence of lower Miocene has been recognized. The lithological and micropaleontological peculiarities have been described, emphasizing the variations in the sedimentation environments during this Epoch; a typical littoral deposition is followed, during the Langhian, by a neritic facies.
