Discretization schemes for Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals in time-delay systems

Keqin Gu (2001)

Kybernetika

Similarity:

This article gives an overview of discretized Lyapunov functional methods for time-delay systems. Quadratic Lyapunov–Krasovskii functionals are discretized by choosing the kernel to be piecewise linear. As a result, the stability conditions may be written in the form of linear matrix inequalities. Conservatism may be reduced by choosing a finer mesh. Simplification techniques, including elimination of variables and using integral inequalities are also discussed. Systems with multiple...

A Lyapunov functional for a system with a time-varying delay

Józef Duda (2012)

International Journal of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science

Similarity:

The paper presents a method to determine a Lyapunov functional for a linear time-invariant system with an interval timevarying delay. The functional is constructed for the system with a time-varying delay with a given time derivative, which is calculated on the system trajectory. The presented method gives analytical formulas for the coefficients of the Lyapunov functional.

LMI optimization problem of delay-dependent robust stability criteria for stochastic systems with polytopic and linear fractional uncertainties

Pagavathigounder Balasubramaniam, Shanmugam Lakshmanan, Rajan Rakkiyappan (2012)

International Journal of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science

Similarity:

This paper studies an LMI optimization problem of delay-dependent robust stability criteria for stochastic systems with polytopic and linear fractional uncertainties. The delay is assumed to be time-varying and belong to a given interval, which means that lower and upper bounds of this interval time-varying delay are available. The uncertainty under consideration includes polytopic-type uncertainty and linear fractional norm-bounded uncertainty. Based on the new Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional,...

On generalized Popov theory for delay systems

Similarity:

This paper focuses on the Popov generalized theory for a class of some linear systems including discrete and distributed delays. Sufficient conditions for stabilizing such systems as well as for coerciveness of an appropriate quadratic cost are developed. The obtained results are applied for the design of a memoryless state feedback control law which guarantees the (exponential) closed-loop stability with an 2 norm bound constraint on disturbance attenuation. Note that the proposed results...
