For the complex interpolation method, Kouba proved an important interpolation formula for tensor products of Banach spaces. We give a partial extension of this formula in the injective case for the Gustavsson?Peetre method of interpolation within the setting of Banach function spaces.

Certain operator ideals are used to study interpolation of operators between spaces generated by the real method. Using orbital equivalence a new reiteration formula is proved for certain real interpolation spaces generated by ordered pairs of Banach lattices of the form . The position of intermediate spaces for a Banach couple is estimated with the help of its fundamental function and co-function. We study the completeness of the collection of all such functions, and the methods of calculating and estimating them for different couples. Finally, these functions are used to compare the position of spaces obtained under the action of some interpolation functors.
