Stochastic differential equation driven by a pure-birth process

Marta Tyran-Kamińska (2002)

Annales Polonici Mathematici

Similarity:

A generalization of the Poisson driven stochastic differential equation is considered. A sufficient condition for asymptotic stability of a discrete time-nonhomogeneous Markov process is proved.

Strong Feller solutions to SPDE's are strong Feller in the weak topology

Studia Mathematica

Similarity:

For a wide class of Markov processes on a Hilbert space H, defined by semilinear stochastic partial differential equations, we show that their transition semigroups map bounded Borel functions to functions weakly continuous on bounded sets, provided they map bounded Borel functions into functions continuous in the norm topology. In particular, an Ornstein-Uhlenbeck process in H is strong Feller in the norm topology if and only if it is strong Feller in the bounded weak topology. As a...

Conditional Markov chains - construction and properties

Tomasz R. Bielecki, Jacek Jakubowski, Mariusz Niewęgłowski (2015)

Banach Center Publications

Similarity:

In this paper we study finite state conditional Markov chains (CMCs). We give two examples of CMCs, one which admits intensity, and another one, which does not admit an intensity. We also give a sufficient condition under which a doubly stochastic Markov chain is a CMC. In addition we provide a method for construction of conditional Markov chains via change of measure.

Multiscale Piecewise Deterministic Markov Process in infinite dimension: central limit theorem and Langevin approximation

In [A. Genadot and M. Thieullen, Averaging for a fully coupled piecewise-deterministic markov process in infinite dimensions. 44 (2012) 749–773], the authors addressed the question of averaging for a slow-fast Piecewise Deterministic Markov Process (PDMP) in infinite dimensions. In the present paper, we carry on and complete this work by the mathematical analysis of the fluctuations of the slow-fast system around the averaged limit. A central limit theorem is derived and the associated...
