Existence and approximation results for SKC mappings in Busemann spaces

In this paper, we first discuss some properties of SKC mappings in the context of Busemann spaces and obtain a demiclosedness principle. We then prove the existence and approximation results for SKC mappings in a uniformly convex Busemann space. At the end, we give a numerical example in support of our main result. This example also shows that our iterative process is faster than some well-known iterative processes even for SKC mappings. Our results are certainly more general than many...

On a linear functional equation with a mean-type mapping having no fixed points

Similarity:

Our aim is to study continuous solutions φ of the classical linear iterative equation φ(f(x,y)) = g(x,y)φ(x,y) + h(x,y), where the given function f is defined as a pair of means. We are interested in the case when f has no fixed points. In turns out that in such a case continuous solutions of (1) depend on an arbitrary function.

Iterative reconstruction methods for wave equations

Sébastien Marinesque (2012)

ESAIM: Proceedings

Similarity:

Some new iterative techniques are defined to solve reversible inverse problems and a common formulation is explained. Numerical improvements are suggested and tests validate the methods.
