For a monoid M of hypersubstitutions, the collection of all M-solid varieties forms a complete sublattice of the lattice L(τ) of all varieties of a given type τ. Therefore, by the study of monoids of hypersubstitutions one can get more insight into the structure of the lattice L(τ). In particular, monoids of hypersubstitutions were studied in [9] as well as in [5]. We will give a complete characterization of all maximal submonoids of the monoid Reg(n) of all regular hypersubstitutions...

In this paper we consider different relations on the set P(V) of all proper hypersubstitutions with respect to a given variety V and their properties. Using these relations we introduce the cardinalities of the corresponding quotient sets as degrees and determine the properties of solid varieties having given degrees. Finally, for all varieties of bands we determine their degrees.

In this paper we investigate varieties of orgraphs (that is, oriented graphs) as classes of orgraphs closed under isomorphic images, suborgraph identifications and induced suborgraphs, and we study the lattice of varieties of tournament-free orgraphs.
