On the cliquish, quasicontinuous and measurable selections

Milan Matejdes (1991)

Mathematica Bohemica

Similarity:

The purpose of this paper is the investigation of the necessary and sufficient conditions under which a given multifunctions admits a cliquish and measurable selection. Our investigation also covers the search for quasicontinuous selections for multifunctions which are continuous with respect to the generalized notion of the semi-quasicontinuity.

Upper quasi continuous maps and quasi continuous selections

Milan Matejdes (2010)

Czechoslovak Mathematical Journal

Similarity:

The paper deals with the existence of a quasi continuous selection of a multifunction for which upper inverse image of any open set with compact complement contains a set of the form ( G I ) J , where G is open and I , J are from a given ideal. The methods are based on the properties of a minimal multifunction which is generated by a cluster process with respect to a system of subsets of the form ( G I ) J .

Ranks for baire multifunctions

Pandelis Dodos (2003)

Colloquium Mathematicae

Similarity:

Various ordinal ranks for Baire-1 real-valued functions, which have been used in the literature, are adapted to provide ranks for Baire-1 multifunctions. A new rank is also introduced which, roughly speaking, gives an estimate of how far a Baire-1 multifunction is from being upper semicontinuous.

Projectively Solid Sets and an N-dimensional Piccard's Theorem

Lindgren, W., Szymanski, A. (1998)

Serdica Mathematical Journal

Similarity:

We discuss functions f : X × Y → Z such that sets of the form f (A × B) have non-empty interiors provided that A and B are non-empty sets of second category and have the Baire property.
