In this note we give a result of convergence when time goes to infinity for a quasi static linear elastic model, the elastic tensor of which vanishes at infinity. This method is applied to segmentation of medical images, and improves the 'elastic deformable template' model introduced previously.

We propose, analyze, and compare several numerical methods for the computation of the deformation of a pressurized martensitic thin film. Numerical results have been obtained for the hysteresis of the deformation as the film transforms reversibly from austenite to martensite.

These notes give a state of the art of numerical homogenization methods for linear elliptic equations. The guideline of these notes is analysis. Most of the numerical homogenization methods can be seen as (more or less different) discretizations of the same family of continuous approximate problems, which H-converges to the homogenized problem. Likewise numerical correctors may also be interpreted as approximations of Tartar’s correctors....
