Rule weights in a neuro-fuzzy system with a hierarchical domain partition

Krzysztof Simiński (2010)

International Journal of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science

Similarity:

The paper discusses the problem of rule weight tuning in neuro-fuzzy systems with parameterized consequences in which rule weights and the activation of the rules are not interchangeable. Some heuristic methods of rule weight computation in neuro-fuzzy systems with a hierarchical input domain partition and parameterized consequences are proposed. Several heuristics with experimental results showing the advantage of their usage are presented.

An elemental processor of fuzzy SQL.

Juan Miguel Medina, Olga Pons, M. Amparo Vila (1994)

Mathware and Soft Computing

Similarity:

This paper reports an alternative for implementing an SQL fuzzy extension on a Fuzzy Relational Database System. This proposal tries to build an FSQL processor using representation and manipulation mechanisms offered by the RDBMS which operates as a host. For this purpose, we are based our work on the formulation of a theoretical model of Fuzzy Relational Databases, on the adoption of a scheme for the representation and implementation of fuzzy information on conventional RDBMS, and on...

Fuzzy sets in pattern recognition, image analysis and automatic speech recognition

Dwijesh Dutta Majumder (1985)

Aplikace matematiky

Similarity:

Fuzzy set theory, a recent generalization of classical set theory, has attracted the attention of researchers working in various areas including pattern recognition, which has had a seminal influence in the development of this new theory. This paper attempts to discuss some of the methodologies that have been suggested for pattern recognition, and techniques for image processing and speech recognition.

An inquiry-based method for Choquet integral-based aggregation of interface usability parameters

Miguel-Ángel Sicilia, Elena García Barriocanal, Tomasa Calvo (2003)

Kybernetika

Similarity:

The concept of usability of man-machine interfaces is usually judged in terms of a number of aspects or attributes that are known to be subject to some rough correlations, and that are in many cases given different importance, depending on the context of use of the application. In consequence, the automation of judgment processes regarding the overall usability of concrete interfaces requires the design of aggregation operators that are capable of modeling approximate or ill-defined...
