Structure of measures on topological spaces.

José L. de María, Baltasar Rodríguez Salinas (1989)

Revista Matemática de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid

Similarity:

The Radon spaces of type (T), i.e., topological spaces for which every finite Borel measure on Omega is T-additive and T-regular are characterized. The class of these spaces is very wide and in particular it contains the Radon spaces. We extend the results of Marczewski an Sikorski to the sygma-metrizable spaces and to the subsets of the Banach spaces endowed with the weak topology. Finally, the completely additive families of measurable subsets related with the works of Hansell, Koumoullis,...

Negligible sets and good functions on polydiscs

Kohur Gowrisankaran (1979)

Annales de l'institut Fourier

Similarity:

A notion of negligible sets for polydiscs is introduced. Some properties of non-negligible sets are proved. These results are used to construct good and good inner functions on polydiscs.

Radon Measures on Banach Spaces with their Weak Topologies

Jayne, J., Rogers, C. (1995)

Serdica Mathematical Journal

Similarity:

The main concern of this paper is to present some improvements to results on the existence or non-existence of countably additive Borel measures that are not Radon measures on Banach spaces taken with their weak topologies, on the standard axioms (ZFC) of set-theory. However, to put the results in perspective we shall need to say something about consistency results concerning measurable cardinals.

Sigma-finiteness and regularity of generalized Radon measures.

J. Fernández Novoa (1990)

Collectanea Mathematica

Similarity:

We extend some known sigma-finiteness and regularity results for (locally finite) Radon measures to locally sigma-finite or locally moderated Radon measures of type (H), and we obtain other new ones. The main result states that the regularity and the sigma-finiteness are equivalent for alllocally moderated, diffused, Radon measures of type (H) in a T1 topological space which is either weakly metacompact or paralindelöf (resp. metalindelöf) and has a concassage of Lindelöf (resp. separable)...
