Oscillation and nonoscillation criteria are established for the equation u ' ' + p ( t ) | u | α | u ' | 1 - α sgn u = 0 , where α ] 0 , 1 ] , and p : [ 0 , + [ [ 0 , + [ is a locally summable function.
