Abstract

top
Medulla expiants dissected from Xenopus laevis D. at the stage 53-56 were cultured in vitro for three weeks. In these long-term cultures, stained by the Bodian method, a remarkable differentiation of the neurons and fibers was observed. The axons grow out in m any different patterns such as bundles and networks as usually observed forthe nervous tissue in culture.
