Abstract

This article is dedicated to combinatorial games and mathematical techniques that can be used in their analysis. We will introduce impartial games, we learn to work with P and N positions and Grundy numbers. The Sprague-Grundy theorem states that every position P 0 in the ultimate impartial combinatorial game is equivalent to a Nim game on one heap. Finally, let us mention the product of the nim numbers that can be used to analyze some combinatorial games.
