We examine the generalized Huyghens principle for a cold plasma model. More exactly, we consider the threedimensional wave propagation of an electromagnetic field caused by an initial disturbance in a cold plasma wich fills all of space. The solution of the Cauchy problem allows us also to assert that initially sharp signals are blurred by the diffusion of waves.
The asymptotic properties of the threedimensional electromagnetic wave-propagation in a cold plasma model are studied. For all sufficiently large , the electromagnetic field induced by initial data of compact support is at least , which is typical of diffusion.
