On osculating cones and the Riemann-Kempf singularity theorem for hyperelliptic curves, trigonal curves, and smooth plane quintics
In this paper we give an inductive procedure in order to describe every algebraic set in as the intersection of n hypersurfaces; this is obtained by taking into account a paper of Eisenbud and Evans.
In this note we show that every smooth “general enough” hypersurface of bidegree with in is an ordinary non rational conic-bundle. Moreover we construct an example, for , which is unirational.
