A commutator theorem with applications.

Mario Milman — 1993

Collectanea Mathematica

We give an extension of the commutator theorems of Jawerth, Rochberg and Weiss [9] for the real method of interpolation. The results are motivated by recent work by Iwaniek and Sbordone [6] on generalized Hodge decompositions. The main estimates of these authors are based on a commutator theorem for a specific operator acting on Lp spaces and through the use of the complex method of interpolation. In this note we give an extension of the Iwaniek-Sbordone theorem to general real interpolation scales....

Interpolation of real method spaces via some ideals of operators

Mieczysław MastyłoMario Milman — 1999

Studia Mathematica

Certain operator ideals are used to study interpolation of operators between spaces generated by the real method. Using orbital equivalence a new reiteration formula is proved for certain real interpolation spaces generated by ordered pairs of Banach lattices of the form ( X , L ( w ) ) . As an application we extend Ovchinnikov’s interpolation theorem from the context of classical Lions-Peetre spaces to a larger class of real interpolation spaces. A description of certain abstract J-method spaces is also presented....

Vector valued inequalities for strongly singular Calderón-Zygmund operators.

Josefina AlvarezMario Milman — 1986

Revista Matemática Iberoamericana

In this article we consider a theory of vector valued strongly singular operators. Our results include Lp, Hp and BMO continuity results. Moreover, as is well known, vector valued estimates are closely related to weighted norm inequalities. These results are developed in the first four sections of our paper. In section 5 we use our vector valued singular integrals to estimate the corresponding maximal operators. Finally in section 6 we discuss applications...

On sharp reiteration theorems and weighted norm inequalities

Jesús BasteroMario MilmanFrancisco Ruiz — 2000

Studia Mathematica

We prove sharp end forms of Holmstedt's reiteration theorem which are closely connected with a general form of Gehring's Lemma. Reverse type conditions for the Hardy-Littlewood-Pólya order are considered and the maximal elements are shown to satisfy generalized Gehring conditions. The methods we use are elementary and based on variants of reverse Hardy inequalities for monotone functions.
