Aggregation/disaggregation method for safety models

Štěpán KlapkaPetr Mayer — 2002

Applications of Mathematics

The paper concerns the possibilities for mathematical modelling of safety related systems (equipment oriented on safety). Some mathematical models have been required by the present European Standards for the railway transport. We are interested in the possibility of using Markov’s models to meet these Standards. In the text an example of using that method in the interlocking equipment life cycle is given. An efficient aggregation/disaggregation method for computing some characteristics of Markov...

A modification of a class of IAD methods

Kojecký, TomášMayer, Petr — 2004

Programs and Algorithms of Numerical Mathematics

We provide a short overview of algorithms useful for computing of stationary probability vectors of stochastic matrix. Some care is devoted to the problem of computing of all extremal stationary probability vectors for the reducible stochastic matrices. We present some modifications of standard Iterative Aggregation/Disaggregation algorithm.

Numerical analysis of mathematical model of heat and moisture transport in concrete at high temperatures

Beneš, MichalMayer, Petr — 2006

Programs and Algorithms of Numerical Mathematics

In this paper, we present a nonlinear mathematical model for numerical analysis of the behaviour of concrete subject to transient heating according to the standard ISO fire curve. This example allows us to analyse and better understand physical phenomena taking place in heated concrete (thermal spalling).
