Profili enzimatici mitocondriali di ovario, fegato e cuore di Bufo
The liver, heart and large oocytes mitochondria of Bufo bufo were isolated by differential centrifugation and purified on density gradient. These mitochondria showed a different enzymatic profile. The mitochondrial enzymatic profile of oocytes resulted similar to that of embryos at early stages. This finding substantiates the hypothesis that the peculiar mitochondrial population existing in the early stages of embryonic development arises from vitellogenesis.
