Alon and Yuster give for independent identically distributed real or vector valued random variables X, Y combinatorially proved estimates of the form Prob(∥X − Y∥ ≤ b) ≤ c Prob(∥X − Y∥ ≤ a). We derive these using copositive matrices instead.
