Division of a sphere into curvilinear triangles with equal surface area

Irena Tarraro — 1981

Mathematica Applicanda

The author deals with the division of the spherical surface into curvilinear triangles which all have the same surface area, with two sides of the triangle always located on meridians and circles of latitude. A numerically computed example with a table is added. The numerical and graphic results are published in a cartographic journal.
