The creation of this article is associated with the discovery of algebra textbook for secondary school by Jan Kostecki(1902) in my father's bookcase. Reading of it was accompanied by my astonishment voluminous material contained therein. Amazement is increased when we compare the range of teaching mathematics in schools during the period under Austrian rule with the program currently in force in secondary schools and universities.
The analysis of this work is profile junior high school teacher in Galicia at the end of XIX and beginning of XX century. In Galicia very cared for highly qualified teaching staff in all subjects, especially secondary school teachers and their scientific work in his discipline, but also in pedagogy, psychology and methodology.
Tematem tego artykułu będzie problematyka podjęta przez Witolda Wilkosza w jego pracy doktorskiej o tytule Z teorii funkcji absolutnie ciągłych i całek Lebesgue’a z roku 1918. W tym czasie była to problematyka szczególnie ważna, gdyż brakowało twierdzeń o podstawianiu w całce Lebesgue’a, analogicznych do twierdzeń dla całki Riemanna.
