Sulle equazioni del moto impulsivo dei sistemi anolonomi

Maria Teresa Vacca — 1977

Atti della Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei. Classe di Scienze Fisiche, Matematiche e Naturali. Rendiconti

In this paper by the fundamental Gauss' principle of least constraint we obtain the impulse-dynamical equations of a non-holonomic system. We consider in particular the impulse-motion of a solid which rolls without slipping on a fixed plane and we apply this to the case of the sphere and to the case of a solid with gyroscopic structure which rolls along a projecting circular ridge having the gyroscopic axis for axis; the second case may be reduced to that of the circle.

Sulle equazioni del moto di un mezzo dielettrico perfettamente elastico e polarizzabile soggetto a un campo magnetico costante

Maria Teresa Vacca — 1977

Atti della Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei. Classe di Scienze Fisiche, Matematiche e Naturali. Rendiconti

In this paper the small motions of a perfectly elastic dielectric medium, electrically polarizable, subject to external uniform magnetic field are considered. For the problem to be determined, the Maxwell-Hertz ordinary electromagnetic equations must be supplemented by an equation which the analogy with the Ohm’s law for moving electric conductors may suggest. This equation is different from that which some Authors by other assumptions have written, but it is included in the more general Voigt's...

Sul potenziale degli sforzi nei mezzi cristallini dielettrici polarizzabili, soggetti a un campo magnetico costante e in moto vibratorio

Maria Teresa Vacca — 1977

Atti della Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei. Classe di Scienze Fisiche, Matematiche e Naturali. Rendiconti

We consider elastic dielectric crystals, in which the phenomenon of piezoelectric polarization occurs, in vibratory motion under an external uniform, magnetic field. By the Beltrami-Somigliana method founded on invariability of some quadratic forms under co-ordinate transformations, the internal stress-potential for various cristalline structures is determined.

Alcune funzioni potenziali in magneto-idrodinamica

Maria Teresa Vacca — 1972

Atti della Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei. Classe di Scienze Fisiche, Matematiche e Naturali. Rendiconti

In this paper we consider an incompressible viscous indefinite and electrically conductive fluid slowly moving under the action of a uniform magnetic field and body forces distributed with continuity in a fixed region of the medium. We give two procedures for reduction of this problem. In the case where the induced magnetic field is sufficiently small compared with the body forces, we determine solutions of the velocity field, induced magnetic field and pressure field. These solutions are expressed...

Analisi stocastica del moto di una lamina piana in flusso molecolare

Nicola BellomoRiccardo RigantiMaria Teresa Vacca — 1980

Atti della Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei. Classe di Scienze Fisiche, Matematiche e Naturali. Rendiconti

Some physical and mathematical problems related to the aerodynamics and dynamics of a flat plate in a molecular flow are studied in this paper. The considered system is a stochastic one since the initial conditions and some of the identification parameters are assumed to be given as constant random variables. The stochastic equation of the dynamics of the system is mathematically studied and particularized in a pertinent application.

Some physical and mathematical problems related to the aerodynamics and dynamics of a flat plate in a molecular flow are studied in this paper. The considered system is a stochastic one since the initial conditions and some of the identification parameters are assumed to be given as constant random variables. The stochastic equation of the dynamics of the system is deduced in this note, and will be mathematically studied and particularized in a pertinent application proposed in the second note.
