Holomorphic semigroups of holomorphic isometries

Edoardo Vesentini (1988)

Atti della Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei. Classe di Scienze Fisiche, Matematiche e Naturali. Rendiconti Lincei. Matematica e Applicazioni

Similarity:

A previous paper was devoted to the construction of non-trivial holomorphic families of holomorphic isometries for the Carathéodory metric of a bounded domain in a complex Banach space, fixing a point in the domain. The present article shows that such a family cannot exist if it contains a strongly continuous one parameter semigroup.

Convergence at the origin of integrated semigroups

Vincent Cachia (2008)

Studia Mathematica

Similarity:

We study a classification of κ-times integrated semigroups (for κ > 0) by their (uniform) rate of convergence at the origin: | | S ( t ) | | = ( t α ) as t → 0 (0 ≤ α ≤ κ). By an improved generation theorem we characterize this behaviour by Hille-Yosida type estimates. Then we consider integrated semigroups with holomorphic extension and characterize their convergence at the origin, as well as the existence of boundary values, by estimates of the associated holomorphic semigroup. Various examples illustrate...

The image of a finely holomorphic map is pluripolar

Annales Polonici Mathematici

Similarity:

We prove that the image of a finely holomorphic map on a fine domain in ℂ is a pluripolar subset of ℂⁿ. We also discuss the relationship between pluripolar hulls and finely holomorphic functions.
