Numerical treatment of 3-dimensional potential problem

Vladimír Drápalík, Vladimír Janovský (1988)

Aplikace matematiky

Similarity:

Assuming an incident wave to be a field source, we calculate the field potential in a neighborhood of an inhomogeneous body. This problem which has been formulated in 𝐑 3 can be reduced to a bounded domain. Namely, a boundary condition for the potential is formulated on a sphere. Then the potential satisfies a well posed boundary value problem in a ball containing the body. A numerical approximation is suggested and its convergence is analyzed.

Boundary integral equations of the logarithmic potential theory for domains with peaks

Integral equations of boundary value problems of the logarithmic potential theory for a plane domain with several peaks at the boundary are studied. We present theorems on the unique solvability and asymptotic representations for solutions near peaks. We also find kernels of the integral operators in a class of functions with a weak power singularity and describe classes of uniqueness.

On the approximate solution of the multi-group time-dependent transport equation by P L -method

This paper concerns l -velocity model of the general linear time-dependent transport equation. The assumed probability of the collision (scattering, fission) depends only on the angle of the directions of the moving neutron before and after the collision. The weak formulation of the problem is given and a priori estimates are obtained. The construction of an approximate problem by bad hbox-method is given. In the symmetric hyperbolic system obtained by bad hbox-method dissipativity and 𝒜 -orthogonality...
