Polynomial controller design based on flatness

Frédéric Rotella, Francisco Javier Carillo, Mounir Ayadi (2002)

Kybernetika

Similarity:

By the use of flatness the problem of pole placement, which consists in imposing closed loop system dynamics can be related to tracking. Polynomial controllers for finite-dimensional linear systems can then be designed with very natural choices for high level parameters design. This design leads to a Bezout equation which is independent of the closed loop dynamics but depends only on the system model.

Robust and reliable H output feedback control for linear systems with parameter uncertainty and actuator failure

Chang-Jun Seo, Byung Kook Kim (1999)

Kybernetika

Similarity:

The robust and reliable H output feedback controller design problem is investigated for uncertain linear systems with actuator failures within a prespecified subset of actuators. The uncertainty considered here is time- varying norm-bounded parameter uncertainty in the state matrix. The output of a faulty actuator is assumed to be any arbitrary energy-bounded signal. An observer-based output feedback controller design is presented which stabilizes the plant and guarantees an H -norm bound...

Application of a second order VSC to nonlinear systems in multi-input parametric-pure-feedback form

Kybernetika

Similarity:

The use of a multi-input control design procedure for uncertain nonlinear systems expressible in multi-input parametric-pure feedback form to determine the control law for a class of mechanical systems is described in this paper. The proposed procedure, based on the well-known backstepping design technique, relies on the possibility of extending to multi-input uncertain systems a second order sliding mode control approach recently developed, thus reducing the computational load, as well...

Feedback linearization idle-speed control: design and experiments

Rolf Pfiffner, Lino Guzzella (1999)

Kybernetika

Similarity:

This paper proposes a novel nonlinear control algorithm for idle-speed control of a gasoline engine. This controller is based on the feedback linearization approach and extends this technique to the special structure and specifications of the idle-speed problem. Special static precompensations and cascaded loops are used to achieve the desired bandwidth separation between the fast spark and slow air-bypass action. A key element is the inclusion of the (engine-speed dependent) induction...

Estimation of the output deviation norm for uncertain, discrete-time nonlinear systems in a state dependent form

Przemysław Orłowski (2007)

International Journal of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science

Similarity:

Numerical evaluation of the optimal nonlinear robust control requires estimating the impact of parameter uncertainties on the system output. The main goal of the paper is to propose a method for estimating the norm of an output trajectory deviation from the nominal trajectory for nonlinear uncertain, discrete-time systems. The measure of the deviation allows us to evaluate the robustness of any designed controller. The first part of the paper concerns uncertainty modelling for nonlinear...
