Distributive ordered sets and relative pseudocomplements

Josef Niederle (2006)

Discussiones Mathematicae - General Algebra and Applications

Similarity:

Brouwerian ordered sets generalize Brouwerian lattices. The aim of this paper is to characterize (α)-complete Brouwerian ordered sets in a manner similar to that used previously for pseudocomplemented, Stone, Boolean and distributive ordered sets. The sublattice (G(P)) in the Dedekind-Mac~Neille completion (DM(P)) of an ordered set (P) generated by (P) is said to be the characteristic lattice of (P). We can define a stronger notion of Brouwerianicity by demanding that both (P) and (G(P))...

Relative polars in ordered sets

Radomír Halaš (2000)

Czechoslovak Mathematical Journal

Similarity:

In the paper, the notion of relative polarity in ordered sets is introduced and the lattices of R -polars are studied. Connections between R -polars and prime ideals, especially in distributive sets, are found.

Characterizations of 0-distributive posets

Vinayak V. Joshi, B. N. Waphare (2005)

Mathematica Bohemica

Similarity:

The concept of a 0-distributive poset is introduced. It is shown that a section semicomplemented poset is distributive if and only if it is 0-distributive. It is also proved that every pseudocomplemented poset is 0-distributive. Further, 0-distributive posets are characterized in terms of their ideal lattices.
