Natural affinors on ( J r , s , q ( . , 1 , 1 ) 0 ) *

Włodzimierz M. Mikulski (2001)

Commentationes Mathematicae Universitatis Carolinae

Similarity:

Let r , s , q , m , n be such that s r q . Let Y be a fibered manifold with m -dimensional basis and n -dimensional fibers. All natural affinors on ( J r , s , q ( Y , 1 , 1 ) 0 ) * are classified. It is deduced that there is no natural generalized connection on ( J r , s , q ( Y , 1 , 1 ) 0 ) * . Similar problems with ( J r , s ( Y , ) 0 ) * instead of ( J r , s , q ( Y , 1 , 1 ) 0 ) * are solved.

Natural transformations of separated jets

Miroslav Doupovec, Ivan Kolář (2000)

Archivum Mathematicum

Similarity:

Given a map of a product of two manifolds into a third one, one can define its jets of separated orders r and s . We study the functor J of separated ( r ; s ) -jets. We determine all natural transformations of J into itself and we characterize the canonical exchange J J s ; r from the naturality point of view.

The natural operators lifting vector fields to generalized higher order tangent bundles

Włodzimierz M. Mikulski (2000)

Archivum Mathematicum

Similarity:

For natural numbers r and n and a real number a we construct a natural vector bundle T ( r ) , a over n -manifolds such that T ( r ) , 0 is the (classical) vector tangent bundle T ( r ) of order r . For integers r 1 and n 3 and a real number a < 0 we classify all natural operators T | M n T T ( r ) , a lifting vector fields from n -manifolds to T ( r ) , a .
