Assuming Martin’s Axiom, we provide an example of two Fréchet-Urysohn $〈 α_{4} 〉$ -spaces, whose product is a non-Fréchet-Urysohn $〈 α_{4} 〉$ -space. This gives a consistent negative answer to a question raised by T. Nogura.
