Asymptotics of potentials in the edge calculus

D. Kapanadze, B.-W Schulze (2006)

Bollettino dell'Unione Matematica Italiana

Similarity:

Boundary value problems on manifolds with conical singularities or edges contain potential operators as well as trace and Green operators which play a similar role as the corresponding operators in (pseudo-differential) boundary value problems on a smooth manifold. There is then a specific asymptotic behaviour of these operators close to the singularities. We characterise potential operators in terms of actions of cone or edge pseudo-differential operators (in the neighbouring space)...

Gromov–Witten invariants for mirror orbifolds of simple elliptic singularities

Ikuo Satake, Atsushi Takahashi (2011)

Annales de l’institut Fourier

Similarity:

We consider a mirror symmetry of simple elliptic singularities. In particular, we construct isomorphisms of Frobenius manifolds among the one from the Gromov–Witten theory of a weighted projective line, the one from the theory of primitive forms for a universal unfolding of a simple elliptic singularity and the one from the invariant theory for an elliptic Weyl group. As a consequence, we give a geometric interpretation of the Fourier coefficients of an eta product considered by K. Saito. ...

A characterization of elliptic operators

Grzegorz Łysik, Paweł M. Wójcicki (2014)

Annales Polonici Mathematici

Similarity:

We give a characterization of constant coefficients elliptic operators in terms of estimates of their iterations on smooth functions.
