In this article we investigate the natural domain of definition of a holonomy map associated to a singular holomorphic foliation of the complex projective plane. We prove that germs of holonomy between algebraic curves can have large sets of singularities for the analytic continuation. In the Riccati context we provide examples with natural boundary and maximal sets of singularities. In this short note we find some conditions which ensure that a G foliation of finite type with all leaves compact is a Riemannian foliation of equivalently the space of leaves of such a foliation is a Satake manifold. A particular attention is paid to transversaly affine foliations. We present several conditions which ensure completeness of such foliations.

We study the analytic structure of the leaves of a holomorphic foliation by curves on a compact complex manifold. We show that if every leaf is a hyperbolic surface then they can be simultaneously uniformized in a continuous manner. In case the manifold is complex projective space a sufficient condition is that there are no algebraic leaf.

We consider transversely affine foliations without compact leaves of higher genus surface bundles over the circle of pseudo-Anosov type such that the Euler classes of the tangent bundles of the foliations coincide with that of the bundle foliation. We classify such foliations of those surface bundles whose monodromies satisfy a certain condition.
