Integration of asymptotically almost periodic functions and weak asymptotic almost periodicity

W. M. Ruess, W. H. Summers

Similarity:

SummaryWe resolve the question as to when an asymptotically almost periodic function with values in a Banach space has an asymptotically almost periodic integral. Further, we characterize the weakly relatively compact sets in spaces of vector valued continuous functions and use the resulting criteria to investigate the relationship between weak almost periodicity in the sense of Eberlein and the parallel notion utilized by Amerio in his approach to extending the classical Bohl-Bohr integration...

Weaker forms of continuity and vector-valued Riemann integration

M. A. Sofi (2012)

Colloquium Mathematicae

Similarity:

It was proved by Kadets that a weak*-continuous function on [0,1] taking values in the dual of a Banach space X is Riemann-integrable precisely when X is finite-dimensional. In this note, we prove a Fréchet-space analogue of this result by showing that the Riemann integrability holds exactly when the underlying Fréchet space is Montel.

The Basic Existence Theorem of Riemann-Stieltjes Integral

Kazuhisa Nakasho, Keiko Narita, Yasunari Shidama (2016)

Formalized Mathematics

Similarity:

In this article, the basic existence theorem of Riemann-Stieltjes integral is formalized. This theorem states that if f is a continuous function and ρ is a function of bounded variation in a closed interval of real line, f is Riemann-Stieltjes integrable with respect to ρ. In the first section, basic properties of real finite sequences are formalized as preliminaries. In the second section, we formalized the existence theorem of the Riemann-Stieltjes integral. These formalizations are...

Riemann mapping theorem in ℂⁿ

Krzysztof Jarosz (2012)

Annales Polonici Mathematici

Similarity:

The classical Riemann Mapping Theorem states that a nontrivial simply connected domain Ω in ℂ is holomorphically homeomorphic to the open unit disc 𝔻. We also know that "similar" one-dimensional Riemann surfaces are "almost" holomorphically equivalent. We discuss the same problem concerning "similar" domains in ℂⁿ in an attempt to find a multidimensional quantitative version of the Riemann Mapping Theorem

Korovkin-type theorems for almost periodic measures

Silvia-Otilia Corduneanu (2002)

Colloquium Mathematicae

Similarity:

Some Korovkin-type theorems for spaces containing almost periodic measures are presented. We prove that some sets of almost periodic measures are test sets for some particular nets of positive linear operators on spaces containing almost periodic measures. We consider spaces which contain almost periodic measures defined by densities and measures which can be represented as the convolution between an arbitrary measure with finite support (or an arbitrary bounded measure) and a fixed...

Riemann problem on the double of a multiply connected circular region

V. V. Mityushev (1997)

Annales Polonici Mathematici

Similarity:

The Riemann problem has been solved in [9] for an arbitrary closed Riemann surface in terms of the principal functionals. This paper is devoted to solution of the problem only for the double of a multiply connected region and can be treated as complementary to [9,1]. We obtain a complete solution of the Riemann problem in that particular case. The solution is given in analytic form by a Poincaré series.

Riemann-Stieltjes Integral

Keiko Narita, Kazuhisa Nakasho, Yasunari Shidama (2016)

Formalized Mathematics

Similarity:

In this article, the definitions and basic properties of Riemann-Stieltjes integral are formalized in Mizar [1]. In the first section, we showed the preliminary definition. We proved also some properties of finite sequences of real numbers. In Sec. 2, we defined variation. Using the definition, we also defined bounded variation and total variation, and proved theorems about related properties. In Sec. 3, we defined Riemann-Stieltjes integral. Referring to the way of the article [7],...

The Denjoy extension of the Riemann and McShane integrals

Jae Myung Park (2000)

Czechoslovak Mathematical Journal

Similarity:

In this paper we study the Denjoy-Riemann and Denjoy-McShane integrals of functions mapping an interval a , b into a Banach space X . It is shown that a Denjoy-Bochner integrable function on a , b is Denjoy-Riemann integrable on a , b , that a Denjoy-Riemann integrable function on a , b is Denjoy-McShane integrable on a , b and that a Denjoy-McShane integrable function on a , b is Denjoy-Pettis integrable on a , b . In addition, it is shown that for spaces that do not contain a copy of c 0 , a measurable Denjoy-McShane...
